Super Talent Technology, one of the first companies to enter the SSD market, has announced its ShuttleCraft range of enterprise SSDs, which have a Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) interface.  The SAS interface is commonly used in business servers, including file and database servers.

These SSDs will be available in capacities of 60GB and 120GB using SLC NAND and 120GB and 240GB using MLC NAND.  These have a 2.5″ form-factor which is compliant with most 2.5″ drive bays in servers.

So far no there is little further information about these SSDs, such as the rated IOPS, let alone the read/write speeds and their controller, at least not in this source press release.

These SSDs will be available to order in July.  No pricing information is available at this time.
