Transcend has upgraded its line of SSDs, with improved read and write rates of 260MB/s and 240MB/s, respecitvely. With random IOPS performancing playing a major role in HDDs, Transcend did not skimp here either with random read/write speeds of 40MB/s and 27MB/s, respectively. Traditional hard disks barely managed 1MB/s to 2MB/s random 4KB read/write.
As with other modern SSDs, these include TRIM and 64MB cache to improve and maintain write performance, while the TRIM also improves wear-levelling. The series come with an tamper-resistant outer casing and this range is backed by a 2 year limited warranty. These SSDs are available in capacities of 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. So far no pricing or availability info has been announced.

I read somewhere that these will using the Jmicron 616, at least the 32GB model, but to me this doesn’t mean much to me until I see someone post some real world testing..
