OCZ Technology was once a manufacturer best known for DRAM memory module products, but ever since it entered the SSD market, its SSD range has been a major success, to the point where it saw a 325% increase in its revenues for its SSD business in Q3 2011 compared with the previous year.

WIth SSD revenue now accounting for 78% of OCZ’s revenue and the overall weakness in the DRAM market, OCZ has finally decided to exit out of the DRAM market altogether.  According to PCMag, they will officially discontinue its remaining DRAM products by February 28th.

OCZ has recently announced a range of new products including a new RevoDrive series, Vertex 3 range and a few other models.  SSD technology is moving at such a pace that what seems like new technology today is obsolete in just a year!
